My Journey
I went on this journey of a lifetime more by accident than design, however when I decided I was going I went with an open heart and mind. If I can say one thing about this experience it would be that it was one of the best personal decisions I have ever made.
The run up to the travel date to Egypt allowed us to meet the two incredible humans who hosted our journey, Andrea and Lisa as well as the rest of the team of amazing people who were joining the journey. This was done by way of 4 Zoom sessions which facilitated an early introduction to each other and an opportunity to connect. In retrospect, if I hadn't attended the pre-trip sessions it would have reduced the excitement of what was to come and I would have been less prepared for the fullness of the experience.
Andrea and Lisa were the perfect hosts for this journey of self-discovery, complimenting each other in a way that created a beautiful flow for us to experience the fullness of the experience. For me it was a full colour, nonstop, curiosity provoking, heart filling and soul enriching journey into self. From the time we landed in Egypt to the time we left a week later our schedule was jam packed with the most extraordinary experi-ences. Even though the schedule had been well set out and articulated beforehand it could never have captured the actual activities we experi-enced. The level of organisation and tailor made visits were almost impossible to describe and beautifully knitted together, from our first meditation on a rooftop in Giza to private visits to some of the most energetically powerful historical sites on earth as well as a number of traditional venues and activities such as riding camels, horses and 4x4's in the desert, delicious Egyptian cuisine and visits to the valley of the Whales and the temples in Luxor.
Another major highlight for me was meeting the most wonderful like hearted people on this trip, we came together as strangers but walked away as family and will remain connected by this experience for life.
I have returned from Egypt changed in a number of ways and am still to truly understand and integrate these experiences, feelings and thoughts.
I still don't know how Lisa and Andrea managed to get it all together in the way they did but my heart is forever grateful to them, it simply was the journey of a lifetime.
